Outside Up began as Parkcore Fitness outdoor bootcamp in 2011 when two friends, Anna and Julianna, started a workout meet-up at the beach. Since then, we have been meeting regularly in Shoreline, WA at various parks, offering challenging, inclusive, affordable group fitness opportunities. We get up to go outside because we live and thrive in the most beautiful place on earth! Come join us for a sunrise-- we think you'll be hooked.
Bethany started leading bootcamp, strength and high intensity interval training (HIIT) classes at the YMCA in 2016 after falling in love with group fitness at Parkcore. She is the third owner of our bootcamp and first under the Outside Up name.
Katie is a certified personal trainer with over a decade of experience in outdoor bootcamp and strength training. She also teaches yoga and dance in Shoreline at Dale Turner YMCA and Seattle Dance Fitness.
Megan led our group under the Parkcore name for more than six years and has a long-standing reputation as a fitness leader in our community. She holds numerous certifications and joins us periodically as a popular sub.

I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors. Working out inside a gym was sheer drudgery & so I didn’t go consistently. I’m so glad a friend recommended Outside Up to me! The workouts are varied and effective, the instructors are knowledgeable and encouraging and the attendees are all really nice. There’s a real sense of camaraderie and community within the group. While I’m not a huge morning person, getting up early and getting my workout in is something I can do consistently. As a result, I feel so much healthier than before. Whether you’re super fit or just starting out, you’ll fit in and make progress while avoiding injuries. Nothing beats breathing in cool, fresh air & seeing the sun rise!

You may purchase drop-in passes with no commitment. Best-pricing (and best overall experience) requires registration for a short session. Your first visit is always free. We'd love to meet you!
Yes! Our members span all fitness levels and our exercises can be modified for new-comers or those with minor physical limitations.
Don't worry! All of our locations have covered areas where we can work out and stay dry.
You will bring your own yoga mat and water bottle to each class. Eventually you will also need a pair of dumbbells (5-10 lbs each).
No. While we often "take a lap", you are always welcome to walk. You should be able to comfortably and safely jog a few yards, however.
